We were gone almost four years, and a lot has changed while we were gone. We left September 18, 2013 and got back August 8,2017. Just shy of the four year mark. A lot has changed since we left here, and even more changed when we got back. Indulge me a moment if you will and I'll fill you in on a few highlights.
When we left Theresa was little, and there was friction. Now the friction is gone and she's not so little anymore. She's much more verbal and independent than when we left. There are so many things that she could not do on her own then that she can now, and I'm told I've done a good job with her. She was so little and confused when we left, she didn't understand why we left and she still doesn't.
There is a difference now, she no longer asks to go back to the old house, or to go home. She's decided we are home and didn't want to move back. She loudly protested not leaving Wynne because she was accustomed to it and she could remember it. It was the first time she protested a move before hand. Now almost six months after we moved on august 8, 2017 she has settled in.
She's even gotten to see some of the people she left behind that love her dearly. The most recent was her nana and as you can see from nana's smile it was something they both needed. She made herself more than at home at her nana's house and if it wasn't for the absence of poppop and the fact that she's a few feet taller you wouldn't realize that my little angel had been gone with me so long.
