I was prepared for yesterday........sort of..........let's see what happened instead of the scheduled IEP meeting that was cancelled due to circumstances beyond my control.
I can do it! It was a day that was supposed to be for making goals for my little girl to meet this school year. It was delayed because one of her teachers had to go to the hospital. She was not admitted but she will be induced tomorrow if she has not already had the baby that she is expecting. Theresa would check on little Laura Lane every day....or did until her teacher went to leave because of issues. Hopefully everything is fine.
The meeting is being rescheduled for after Thanksgiving holidays. School lets out today for a week. It is something that I have mixed emotions about. I want the meeting to take place so I can see the progress she has made, and will continue to make but I dread it at the same time.
The goals set forth in an IEP should be clear, concise and measurable. It is sometimes more of a lesson plan, and this is where you find out whether or not you can stand your ground.
