I am slowly returning to the world of being independent while working remotely. I have recently done some short projects that hold the promise of more work in future. I am steadily exploring other avenues and putting in applications for remote positions. There are various reasons are this decision, the least of which is the current pandemic and my refusal to get a vaccine I am uncomfortable with.
I recently had a bout with a respiratory infection that prompted the doctor's office to order a rapid covid test before they would see me. That test came back negative as did the PNR that was ran. So two shots, a steroid, and an antibiotic along with an antibiotic prescription and a decongestant later I am still fatigued but I'm breathing better. I just have to finish out the round of antibiotics and the decongestant which I am proud to say I was actually able to pay for out of pocket when insurance did not cover it.
My budgeting skills are returning slowly, and so are is my ability to pay attention to what I am doing. No more impulse purchases, at least not as many. I refuse to get vaccinated while I am not comfortable with the data. I cannot afford to be sick, so I take precautions and I am going to continue to until I am comfortable with the way things are going in the world.
Until next time, live by your beliefs.
