It has been a couple of years since I dealt with the rigors of self employment, and it is not an easy transition to make when I had been planning on returning to the traditional work force for various reasons. Take a journey through the process of re-learning how to be my own boss with me.
I have a special needs child. This makes it easier to work around her appointments and meetings at the school. There isn't anyone to ask for time off, I simply let those who I'm performing projects for that I will be unavailable during that time.

Not only do I have to earn the money to cover the monthly bills that are out running the monthly income that is coming in, but I have to earn the money to cover the expenses associated with self employment. What are they?
Should I decide to finally start a website for my services or turn this blog into a website to make it easier to find, and more easy to promote there will be hosting and domain fees. Then there are membership fees to various sites as I am low on clientele potential after being out of the world of self employment for an extended period of time.
Don't forget the taxes that I am no solely responsible for at this point. I need to look at the tax schedule because waiting until the end of the year is not a feasible option at this point. I have to earn enough to file taxes next year.
Dreading Tax Season
You can't file a return without income, so I'm dreading learning what has changed in the world of taxes since I last filed. Paying in through the year will help me a lot when it comes time to file.
