The post I ran across from January of 2011 is an example of just how much change we have gone through. Take a look and I'll explain.
Lazy Days from 01/17/11
Theresa now has a television set complete with VCR and DVD in her room so she can have a special treat every now and then. Bless her little heart now I just have to figure out how to teach her to work those educational toys that hook up to the t.v. Last time I tried she was about as interested as a teenager taking a test that's not driving related so they can get their freedom.
We haven't gotten much done in the way of therapy these last three days. Little bit hasn't had therapy since Thursday and then it was just OT since our speech therapist was out. First thing in the morning little bit has to watch a cartoon, she's usually real good when she first wakes up so we do. In a moment we'll get to an interactive show so that she can be memorizing, ur, learning while she watches it.
- While she has a television once again there is a game system hooked up to it and we no longer have a VCR or DVD player anywhere in the house.
- She doesn't really watch cartoons anymore, she's into YouTube but not educational anymore. School seems to have changed that recently.
- We have therapy once a week, speech and OT in the same day in their offices, and an in home visit from her counselor once a week.
Changes don't always look like change, in fact they often look like things always have. I'll have more changes coming in the next few months. Stay tuned for the announcement, and keep chasing the stars.
